French at Eastfield
The purpose of French at Eastfield
At Eastfield, we believe that teaching children about different languages helps them appreciate and embrace the diversity in our world. Introducing a new language should spark curiosity, offer valuable knowledge, and enhance their awareness of being part of a multicultural society.
How we teach French at Eastfield
We hope to embed the essential skills of language production (speaking and writing) and language comprehension (reading and listening). We aim to build the children’s ‘culture capital’ so that they are aware of similarities and differences between cultures. In short, we hope to lay the foundations for future language learning. Our goal is to cultivate essential language skills, including production (speaking and writing) and comprehension (reading and listening). We aim to enhance the children’s cultural capital, fostering an understanding of both the similarities and differences between cultures. Ultimately, we strive to establish a strong foundation for their future language learning.
